The last quarter of 2013, saw RIVCHO training medical personnel and community leaders of Health Facilities supported by International Oil Companies (IOC) on the Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) put in place by the companies for the benefit of communities. The trainings for Facilities supported by Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and Seplat Petroleum Development Company took place at Godaton Hotels Ltd Enerhen Warri Delta State from 28th October to 1st November while that for Facilities supported by Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) took place at Citi Hotel & Suites Ijebu-Ode Ogun State from 25th to 30th November. Forty persons participated in the Warri training while twenty five did at the Ijebu-ode training.
The overall goal of the DRF trainings was to build the capacity of selected Health or Hospital Staff on the successful implementation of the DRF Scheme in the Health Facility with the cooperation of the host community. RIVCHO draw her resources persons from the crack team of Nigeria’s most successful DRF States; Ekiti & Delta and RIVCHO’s ED who has become an authority in DRF.
Monitoring and Evaluation of the operation of the scheme in all the facilities is presently been undertaken by RIVCHO ensuring adherence to guidelines and the benefit of the people.
