Tuesday 12th June 2012 will go down memory lane as the day the Chief of Party of the CUBS Project (Community Based Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children OVC with support from USAID) visited RIVCHO
Office in Warri from the Abuja Country Office. The Chief of Party Ms Zipporah Kpamori was accompanied on the visit by the Head of the Project in Delta State Mr Gilbert Ojakor and Mr Osakwe. On hand to receive the August Visitor was Rev Francis Waive RIVCHO’s Executive Director, Mr Edafe Hitler Finance Officer, Ms Emily Jitokun Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and Mr Waterway Emmanuel Program Officer among other members of Staff.
Deliberations were a review of the project in the past one year as executed by RIVCHO in Ovwian and Orhunwhorun communities in Udu LGA. Lessons learnt were noted, success stories highlighted while areas of challenges were frankly discussed with a view of finding solutions. At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed extending the project and providing for the enrollment of additional 430 OVCs. The visiting team commended RIVCHO for a job well done and encouraged the Organization not to rest on its 0ars.
